This course is designed to give students web design skills in order that they can produce award winning educational Web Sites. The skills required for award winning sites are: proficiency in web design software (such as Dreamweaver); ability to write research for the web; knowledge of intellectual honesty and citing sources; and, most crucial of all, Project Management. Project Management is the ability to remain focused on the "big picture" and to stay on task in order to meet deadlines.
Students will be evaluated on participation, timeliness in turning in assignments, maintenance of weekly goal sheets, meeting weekly goals, weekly presentations, and a final presentation of an award winning Web Site.
The first day of each week your team will spend ten minutes goal planning. You will list the goals for the week and the individual assignments that will allow you to meet your goals. These goal- planning sheets will be placed on or by your team's computers and your coaches will monitor whether or not you are meeting your goals.
